Professional Experience: Deanna practices in all areas of family law including child custody/parenting time, complex asset divorces, relocation matters and modifications. Deanna is known for being a passionate and zealous advocate for her clients. Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, Deanna appreciates the opportunity to serve clients in the region and specifically in Southwest Washington. Her goal is to provide all clients with individualized and personal representation, while working hard to protect their interests. Deanna's clients appreciate her straightforward yet sensitive approach, her humor and kindness even in times of struggle, and her undying tenacity to work toward the best possible outcome. Prior to joining SK&H, Deanna practiced family law at a small firm in Lake Oswego, Oregon. While completing her education, Deanna clerked for a civil litigation firm in Seattle and for a general practitioner in Spokane.

Professional Activities: Deanna was first a member of the Washington State Bar Association and has since become a member of the Oregon State Bar and the U.S. District Court for the District of Oregon. She is a member of local groups such as the Clark County Bar Association (and Clark County Family Law Section), Clackamas County Bar Association (and Clackamas County Family Law Group), Multnomah County Bar Association, and Washington County Bar Association. Deanna has volunteered as an attorney with St. Andrew's Legal Clinic. She is currently a member of the Association of Family and Conciliation Courts, an international group of professionals (lawyers, psychologists, judges, etc.) committed to improving the lives of children and families through resolution of family conflict.

Community Activities: Deanna was a member of Pi Beta Phi at the University of Washington and is active as an alumna. She previously served as Financial Advisor and Philanthrophy Advisor on the alumnae advisory board of the group at the University of Oregon. She is also a member of the Lake Oswego-Dunthorpe Alumnae Club, with which she has served as Public Relations Chairperson and Secretary. Deanna frequently volunteers on local, state and national political campaigns and enjoys organizing political events and walking door-to-door for votes. She has worked on local and national campaigns most every election cycle since 2000. In law school, Deanna volunteered at the YWCA. In recent years Deanna has acted as a judge for local high school mock trial competitions. Deanna has been involved with Big Brothers/Big Sisters of the Columbia Northwest.

Interests: Deanna is a fanatic supporter of University of Washington athletics, namely Husky football and basketball. In her free time, Deanna enjoys wine and beer tasting, watching football, playing Scrabble, enjoying movies or concerts, and hanging out with her dog, Rocky. Deanna has been a Blazers fan since the early days of Rip City and enjoys having a great team to root for once again. Being a true native of the Northwest, Deanna loves everything the Vancouver/Portland area has to offer.

Awards: Deanna was recognized by her peers as a SuperLawyers Rising Star in 2010.
